Local business websites

I'll build your website first. You decide after you've seen it.

A real, working website for your business. Your photos, your services, your actual Google reviews. Live for 7 days.

How this works

01

I research your competition

Before I design anything, I look at the businesses ranking above you: what they offer, how they describe it, and the words your customers are typing into Google to find them.

02

I build the real thing

Not a mockup, and not a template with your logo dropped on it. Your services, your real photos, your actual Google reviews, contact that works on a phone. A website you could hand out today.

03

I send you a short video

Five minutes, me walking you through it, explaining why each part is there. Watch it whenever suits you.

04

It's live for 7 days

Look at it. Show your partner. Sleep on it. Then tell me yes or no. If it's no, it comes down and that's the end of it. No follow-ups, no "just checking in."

"Why would anyone do this for free?"

Fair question. Here's the honest answer.

I'm a builder, not a salesman. I've never met a business owner who enjoyed being sold to, and I'm no good at it anyway. So I skip that part. I do the work first and let it speak.

It also protects my time. Building a demo takes me an afternoon. A month of chasing someone who was never going to buy takes far more than that. This way, the people who get in touch have already seen exactly what they'd be paying for.

If you like it, we talk. If you don't, you've lost nothing and I've lost an afternoon. That's the whole deal.

Right now, someone is Googling a business like yours

Around 8 in 10 people look a local business up online before they ever call or walk in.

So they search. And they find you with no website, or one that takes six seconds to load on a phone. A Google profile with three photos from 2019, the wrong opening hours, and reviews nobody has replied to.

Then they scroll down two lines and find your competitor, who has all of it sorted.

They don't decide you're worse at the job. They just never find out you exist.

What goes into every site I build

Here is a piece of a real one. Same six things, every time.

Detail of the Little to Large demo site showing the headline, a quote button, and a customer review reading “Their attention to detail was second to none.”
Built on researched competition
I look at who is beating you and why before I write a single line.
Local keywords
The exact words your customers type. "Emergency plumber Cork", not "quality plumbing solutions".
Your services, stated plainly
Nobody should have to guess what you do or whether you cover their area.
Reviews and testimonials on the page
Your proof, where people can actually see it, not buried on Google.
Contact one tap away
WhatsApp, phone, a form that works. Whichever your customers actually use.
Fast on a phone
Because that's where they're looking, usually on bad signal, usually in a hurry.

See one for yourself

This is a demo. Exactly like the one I'd build for you.

Homepage of the Little to Large demo site, headlined “Pergolas, decking and fencing across Cork”, with a free quote button and a WhatsApp button.

Little to Large, Pergolas and Carpentry, Cork

A carpentry firm with strong word-of-mouth and no way for a stranger to find them. I researched the Cork carpentry market, then built this: thirty jobs photographed, nineteen reviews on the page, a WhatsApp quote button, and clear coverage for Cork City and County.

They haven't replied yet. It's still live. Have a look at what lands in your inbox.

Homepage of Dog Hydrotherapy Finder, showing a location search box and counts of 1030 clinics across 36 states.

Dog Hydrotherapy Finder, United States

A different problem: over 1,000 clinics across 36 states, built around what people actually type when their dog is recovering from surgery. Local SEO at scale, the same thinking applied to a thousand towns at once.

I'd rather be honest about the fit

I'm one person. I take on a small number of new businesses a month, because I do the work myself and I'd rather do it properly.

We'll probably get on if:

  • You serve a local area and you're genuinely good at what you do
  • You've realised word-of-mouth alone isn't bringing in what it used to
  • You want to be found by people already looking for you
  • You'd rather have one person who knows your business than an account manager

I'm probably not your guy if:

  • You want twenty rounds of revisions on the shade of a button
  • You need an online shop with 2,000 products
  • You want to be number one in Google nationwide by next month
  • You're looking for the cheapest option on the internet. That's a real option, it's just not me

Who's actually doing the work

I'm Mike. I'm a QA engineer by trade, so my job is finding the reasons things break before customers do. Along the way I've built dozens of web apps and websites as tools for my own work, written hundreds of SEO audits telling people exactly what was wrong with their site and how to fix it, and built sites for clients and friends.

Local SEO is the part I kept coming back to. Not the theory, the practical side. Which competitors are actually winning and why. Which words real customers type. What makes a page load fast enough that nobody leaves before it appears.

When you hire me, I'm the one doing it. There's nobody to hand you off to.
